Primitive Reflex Integration
Move Connect Thrive
Welcome......to Move, Connect, Thrive a therapy which is effective for children and adults experiencing neurodevelopmental delays, behavioural challenges, or learning difficulties, which may impact their ability to regulate emotions, manage behaviour, learn effectively and impacts the way in which an individual can safely connect to the world around them.
Empower your child's journey to thrive.

Neurodevelopment therapy
Move Connect Thrive is dedicated to offering primitive reflex integration therapy to assist parents of struggling children. My focus is on providing comprehensive information and a supportive contact platform to enhance the well-being and development of children. Through neurodevelopment therapy I aim to empower families, foster resilience, and promote holistic growth.
My Approach
Primitive Reflex Therapy is a movement-based approach designed to support the healthy development of emotional regulation, sensory processing, coordination, balance, and a sense of physical and emotional connection to the world.
What are Primitive Reflexes?
Primitive reflexes are involuntary, automatic reactions to stimuli controlled by the nervous system. These reflexes emerge in utero and play a crucial role in early survival, help us be birthed and neurological development in infancy.
In typical development, primitive reflexes are gradually integrated through movement, allowing the child to gain voluntary control over their body and develop a stable, upright posture. This integration lays the foundation for higher-level brain functions such as thinking, memory, emotional control, speech and language and social interaction.
Family & Child Support
If a child’s natural developmental milestones are interrupted, which can happen for a variety of reasons, such as illness, trauma or lack of movement, the maturation of the nervous system can be affected. This may result in retained primitive reflexes, which can contribute to challenges with attention, coordination, emotional regulation, and learning readiness.
I assess movement, posture, emotional and behavioural patterns to identify where developmental interruptions may have occurred. Based on these observations, a personalised movement programme to help repattern and integrate retained reflexes, moving the nervous system from automatic, reflexive responses toward cortical control.
Rhythmic Movement - Primitive Reflex Integration Therapy
RMTi—Rhythmic Movement Training International; is one approach within primitive reflex therapy. It uses specific rhythmic and patterned movements that mimic early developmental stages. These movements help shift the body from primitive, survival-based reflexes (such as the Moro reflex, a defensive reflex) toward mature nervous system regulation, enabling improved emotional stability, self-control, and cognitive development.
Primitive Reflex Therapy supports children with a range of challenges, including emotional difficulties such as anxiety or have trouble identifying emotions and can often be dysregulated. They may have a diagnosis that impacts learning such as ADHD, ASD or dyslexia, and other developmental or behavioural difficulties. By using Primitive Reflex Integration the nervous system achieves a more integrated and balanced state, becoming more mature in its function.
